Essay Focus Ideas

The topic of my essay centers around the idea of how technology encourages and increases worldwide interactivity, but also amplifies class distinction and loss of culture.

Some of the arguments that I was able to find surrounding these ideas include technology sharing with other countries, the negative effects of technology on developing countries, arguments to improve education in developing countries by providing education technology such as lap tops, business and technology in developing countries. These are just a few of the surrounding and related topics that I was able to find in my research.

While Technology does usually improve human life, as well as increase human interactivity, I would argue that it more often separates and polarizes world cultures as well as increasing class distinctions within cultures.

Problems that I might run in to would be the concession of the vast power of communication technology as the number one globalizing force in the world. In the internet alone we have email, texting, Skype, Facebook and other social networking. Cell phones and other telecommunications, television, radio and newspapers, though antiquated are still powerful forms of communication technology in mass use today.
